THE NEW HOME ARCHITECTURAL PROCESS

Our dedicated team of new home architects in Brisbane are committed to transforming your visions into reality. Whether you’ve planned every detail of your dream home or need guidance from skilled professionals, our new home architect is with you through the entire process.

Step 1: Pre-planning discussion

Our Redlands architects have a pre-design meeting with you to create a client brief document.

This document will include components like preliminary budgets, sizes, and rooms, and further information about the site.

This meeting and documentation formulates the design requirements to set realistic targets and expectations for the project.

Step 2: Due diligence

We then undertake a site inspection. Here, we review the topography of the site, the breezes, neighbouring properties, privacy considerations, available views, accessibility, and nearby services.

We will also arrange for a survey on your land. This identifies features such as contours, soil condition (geotechnical survey), and any NBN, gas, wastewater or plumbing works.

Step 3: Blueprint designs

Ashcroft Architects design both two-dimensional floor plans of your prospective home, followed by interactive 3D models.

We meet to present 2D plans, discuss ideas, and make any necessary changes. We then incorporate this feedback into our 3D model.

Once the exterior and interior designs are complete and approved, we finalise with your selected builder to provide preliminary costs.

Step 4: Approvals and construction

After necessary approvals from the council or other governing bodies, the build begins!

Ashcroft Architects can project manage the entire process. For added convenience, we can schedule weekly site meetings to oversee the project’s progress.

We can monitor both the overall ambiance of the residence as well as the intricate construction details, to assist the builder and to bring your design to fruition.
